REGATHERING NEW HOPE CHURCH

 May 31, 2020

Hello New Hope Church,

After much prayer, guidance, and preparation, we are thrilled to be returning to worship together and we pray you will be able to join us!

Regathering Date:      Sunday, June 7, 2020 @ 10:30 A.M.

As excited as we are about gathering again with our church family, we are also being cautious about making this a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone. If you have experienced any COVID-19 related symptoms in the last two weeks, if you are elderly and have a compromising health issue, if you are not quite ready to venture out, or if you are not feeling well and show symptoms of sickness, please stay home. (Actually, consider checking your temperature before leaving to gather at church). If you are not able to come or choose not to come back yet, please join us for worship on our New Hope Live Streaming from the comfort of your home. Know that our church family loves you and we want to protect you. We want everyone to be safe.

For the safety and wellbeing of those joining us at our physical campus we thank you for remaining prayerful, faithful, and flexible in these times.

WE ARE ASKING OUR CHURCH FAMILY TO FOLLOW THESE PRECAUTIONS:

Ø  Touchless Environment – No worship area paper items will be available (no bulletins) and offering plates will not be passed. Bibles, pens, notepads, cards, and all other informational items have been removed. All of our internal church doors will remain open.

Ø  No Refreshments will be served. You are welcome to bring you own coffee. We do have bottled water available. Please take your bottle with you or throw it away as you leave.

Ø  Social Distancing is expected. Please follow distancing (6ft.) through the building as much as possible. For Fellowship, we suggest that you congregate outside the building if you are comfortable to do so in the open air.

Ø  Seating. We are asking families and couples to sit together. The worship center will be arranged so there is increased distance between each row and chairs. Our Ushers will escort you to your seats and manage spacing just to make sure distancing is being maintained within our rows and chairs.

Ø  The Front Doors of our worship center will be open to enter and to exit. All other entrance doors will be closed except for the Children’s North Entrance for dropping your children off for Nursery and Hopeville.

Ø  Hand Sanitation Stations will be located entering the building and at each bathroom area and in the Children’s Ministry Wing.

Ø  Masks are not required but should you feel more comfortable using one, we have them available at the entrance of the worship center or you can wear your own.

Ø  Offering. We will not be passing the offering plates, we will have an offering box located at the entrance of the worship center for you to drop your offering in upon entering or exiting the worship center. Of course, you can give on line at newhopecamden.com/giving

Ø  Bathrooms are located in the main hallway and on the South hallway, we simply ask that you take the responsibility to limit the number of people in them.

Ø  Attendees will be dismissed following the service in an orderly manner.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT FOR MY CHILDREN?

During this time of uncertainty surrounding Covid-19 and getting back to a new normal we want to assure you that we have been and continue to prayerfully seek guidance and wisdom from God in moving forward with our Children’s Ministry.  We are asking that if your child shows any symptoms of sickness of any kind please keep them at home, though we will miss them greatly.

We are offering a couple of options for our Children’s Ministry:

Option #1 if you feel comfortable

Ø  We will have Nursery and Hopeville.

The difference will be that we are asking you to bring your children to the nursery and/or to Hopeville at the beginning of our worship service.

Ø  Children need to be dropped off at the North End (Children’s Wing) Doors and then parents enter at the front doors of worship center. This will keep too many people from being in the hallways. At the end of the worship service please exit through front doors of Worship Center and then pick up your children at the Children’s Wing Doors.

Ø  Children will not be allowed to move through the building on their own. Must be accompanied by a parent or a ministry volunteer

Ø  Extra Measures Taken:

·       Extra toys and all plush items have been removed from the rooms

·       Sets of toys have been put into containers and will be cleaned after each use

·       Each child will have a set of crayons and/or markers for their own use

·       We will incorporate games and activities that do not involve contact

·       Ministry Volunteers will check their own temperature prior to arriving

Option #2 if you do not feel comfortable

Ø  Children Stay In Worship Center – Children are more than welcome to stay in the worship service with you. The only thing we ask is that they sit with you and not on their own.

Ø  A Kids Worship Packet will be available for these kids to stay engaged during the sermon.

WHEN WILL GROW GROUPS, SMALL GROUPS, AND OTHER ACTIVITIES START

Ø  GROW GROUPS based on how things are going, we are planning to start back, maybe in August or the Fall, as well as other activities.

I believe that these steps will ensure that we have a safe environment for all who come to New Hope in the coming weeks. I realize that this has brought a great deal of change to our lives but I also believe that we can rise to the challenge that is before us in and through His power that is at work in our lives to make an impact for the gospel like never before.

I have been praying for you, missing you and look forward to seeing many of you on June 7th @ 10:30 A.M.

Love

Pastor Lyn
